When the river is closed due to low water levels, Ardenne Aventures offers you a great alternative: paddle in the 2 Ourthes Natural Park for a period of +- 2 hours in a valley near the village of Nisramont, where the water remains deep thanks to the dam.

Procedure:

You go directly to: the site of the Nisramont dam, 6983 Nisramont. There is ample parking nearby. Once parked, follow the directions:“walk around the lake”.

Contact the Ardenne Aventures manager (yellow kayaks) who will give you the explanations.

Clothing advice: 

Regarding the weather, please take these tips into account:

• A towel / swimsuit / shorts / T-shirt
• Solar cream
• A “light” sweater or K-way if it’s a little cooler.
• A change of clothes
• Water shoes
• For glasses wearers, a cord (glasses wire)

Our price includes transport from La Roche to the starting point.

Environment-Rules 

It's forbidden :

• To take fridge boxes, coolers, portable barbecues, or beer racks on board the kayaks
• Stop outside the areas indicated by the sign
• To make a fire,
• To bring alcoholic drinks and consume them during the activity, as well as to arrive in a state of intoxication under penalty of being prohibited from accessing the activity.
• To throw trash in the water or in the forest,
• To disturb nature and animals,
• To make noise unintentionally (yell or listen to music on radios, speakers, etc.)
• To degrade the banks.

Please respect other river users, including fishermen and local residents.

Navigation Restrictions Due to Water Level

Kayaking is prohibited when the water level is unsuitable (too high or too low). In this case:

1. The reservation is first transferred to Lake Nisramont.
2. If navigation is also impossible there (a very rare occurrence), you will receive a voucher valid for one year.
